![]() ![]() I will have to always edit and save the files out of Avidemux to see what the number typed in the shift field has done to the movie. Re-encoding the file with Avidemux preserves the problem. Saving the file via Copy mode with Avidemux preserves the problem. I open it in Avidemux and the audio runs about 1 second ahead of the video. If I now try +400, it can very well be, that I will hear that the sound has been shifted. The mp4 file plays fine in VLC and SMPlayer. I applied +70 and saved the file and then opened it in a real mediaplayer (no editing tool). Of course I did not listen to the file in Avidemux. In this particular case, the answer why I hear no affect is, that +70 is not enough. Remember the sound was audible in the preexisting file and is audible in the created file, but not while editing the file. When I then edit it and make Avidemux create a new file out of it, the resulting file will have audio, when played in VLC or Quicktime or mpegstreamclip. As an aside VLC Media player is not affected by this problem and even though I can clearly see where the video breaks up the sound remains in sync. ![]() Of course there is an audiotrack, that can be selected at the left, but there is no sound audible. It does not matter what I do with Avidemux to resync the sound it still goes out of sync at the same spot. Then play the MP4 video in the right-hand screen to confirm the exact delaying period. Once the MP4 video has been imported, then make sure you have selected Copy for each module. Generally, not speaking of this particular case: whenever I open a movie file in Avidemux and hit play to watch it inside Avidemux, I can hear no sound. Open AviDemux and add MP4 video with which you would like to sync audio to the program. Of course you would need to HEAR the audio to TEST to see if the change is enough or in the right direction. Afterwards, one would expect, that the sound has moved, but it is where it was before. Advanced features like green screen, edit audio, change speed. Basic features like split, trim, merge, add text, add music. Render and export at high speed with GPU acceleration. Then I opened it in avidemux and blindly set the shift filter to +70 and save the file. Edit all videos in an easy and effective way. In my special case the sound was asynchronous before using Avidemux, so I looked at the time code in Quicktime. Files will always have audio before and after using avidemux. So, for now, Directshowsource('. The problem is, the sync divergence is rather randomly stepwise than proportional, so proportional sync fix by timestratch is not applicable. For Analog TV processing, I was used to Timestratch AVS function to fix it. So generally, having no audio is a thing special to Avidemux while playing it in the editor itself. But for more frequent it ends with up to 30-50s out of sync for 90min movie. Files will always have audio before the editor and after editing and saving, and opening in other players. open new file in Quicktime = sound is still where it was before editing it in avidemuxĪny file that I will put into avidemux will have no audio, when playing it in the editor. go to "filter", set shift to +70 and hit save, a new file is createdĥ. click play in avidemux editor = no sound at allĤ. close file and open it in avidemux editorģ. play file in Quicktime or VLC = audio (but asynchronous, audio starts too early)Ģ. ![]()
